Jesse Donaldson serves as the Executive Vice President of Strategic Services at HelpSeeker. In this capacity, she is responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of support while overseeing the development and implementation of innovative solutions to enhance our product offerings. With extensive experience in community development, stakeholder engagement, and social innovation, Jesse is well-equipped to guide our clients toward success. Her dedication to fostering strong relationships and her unwavering commitment to innovation make her a valuable member of our executive team.
Over the last decade, Jesse has dedicated her career to creating social change within and across public, private, and charitable sectors. She has supported more than 60 communities as the Government of Canada’s technical advisor for Point-in-Time Homeless Counts and co-authored important publications on homelessness. In the private sector, Jesse has created social purpose programs for companies like Starbucks, Petro-Canada, and Home Depot, effecting change in areas such as education, youth, food insecurity, mental health, employment, and caregiving. Jesse’s diverse experience and dedication to social change make her an essential part of the HelpSeeker executive team, as we continue to empower the social sector with data-driven solutions and improve the well-being of individuals and communities.

Matt Parker serves as the Executive Vice President of Data and Analytics at HelpSeeker, where he plays a crucial role in driving the company’s data-driven approach and ensuring the highest standards of information privacy and security. Matt’s primary responsibilities include overseeing data collection, management, and analysis, translating data insights into actionable strategies to enhance our products and services, and safeguarding all sensitive information. His extensive background in data science, analytics, cybersecurity, risk mitigation, and innovation in the public sector, particularly in healthcare, makes him an invaluable member of our executive team.
Joining HelpSeeker in November 2020, Matt brought with him a wealth of experience in driving innovation and developing commercialization strategies for cutting-edge products. Before joining HelpSeeker, Matt worked in commercialization and innovation at Sinai Health System in Toronto. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Victoria and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. Matt’s unique blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and experience in both the public and private sectors has been instrumental in establishing HelpSeeker’s reputation as a trusted and reliable partner in the social systems planning industry. His commitment to leveraging data-driven insights and maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security positions HelpSeeker at the forefront of the industry, empowering clients to make informed decisions and effectively address complex social issues.

As Vice President of Business Development and Co-Founder, Travis Turner is instrumental in driving HelpSeeker’s growth and expansion. His diverse background in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, education, and administration equips him with the expertise and strategic vision necessary to identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and spearhead marketing initiatives that broaden our reach within the target market. With a deep understanding of the specific needs and challenges faced by Social Systems Planners, Travis excels in developing tailored solutions that cater to their unique requirements.
Travis holds a Masters in Education, focusing on digital transformation, and is a licensed teacher with the Alberta Teachers Association. His background in systems organizational leadership in social systems, specializing in child and youth development, has provided him with invaluable insights into the social sector. Before co-founding HelpSeeker, Travis led school-based mental health interventions for children experiencing trauma and smart learning initiatives to digitize educational settings for the 21st-century learner. He also spent over a decade with the Calgary Board of Education in various service delivery and leadership roles.
Travis’s experience in these sectors has helped him build a robust network of connections and relationships, crucial for forging strategic partnerships and generating new business opportunities. His strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are vital for driving business growth and developing successful marketing strategies. Travis’s ability to navigate the complexities of social systems, along with his expertise in sales and marketing, allows him to identify untapped market potential and capitalize on growth opportunities that align with HelpSeeker’s mission and vision. His diverse skill set and strategic thinking make Travis an essential part of our executive team, as we continue to empower the social sector with data-driven solutions.

Alina Turner brings an impressive blend of vision and leadership to her role as President and Co-Founder of HelpSeeker. Her responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for the company, overseeing operations, and ensuring the successful execution of our mission. With extensive experience in the social services sector and a strong background in research and policy development, Alina has been instrumental in shaping HelpSeeker’s innovative approach to systems planning. Her passion for addressing social challenges and her deep understanding of the needs of Social Systems Planners make her an invaluable asset to the company and a driving force behind our success.
Alina’s background is as a social scientist with a specialization in systems planning and integration, as well as a funder and social policy expert. Throughout her career, she has worked on systems change efforts in homelessness and affordable housing, domestic violence, poverty, mental health, and addictions. Her unique perspective and expertise in various social sectors have equipped her with the skills and knowledge to tackle complex social issues and implement sustainable solutions. Alina’s dedication to creating meaningful change is further reflected in her active involvement in numerous community initiatives and projects.
As a Fellow at The School of Public Policy, University of Calgary, Alina’s most recent interest lies in leveraging new technologies to reform the design and delivery of social safety nets. Her drive and passion for her work are grounded in her lived experience of the social issues she continues to challenge in her professional work. Alina’s leadership, vision, and commitment to transforming the social sector make her an essential part of the HelpSeeker executive team, as we continue to empower the social sector with data-driven solutions and improve the well-being of individuals and communities.

Pam is an experienced HR professional who joined HelpSeeker in 2020. Her experience spans both the public and private sectors and she commenced her career shortly after completion of university in a payroll position. As part of her payroll position, she obtained her PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional). In the years to follow, she also worked in Recruiting & Staffing for organizations with 1000+ employees.
For over 11 years, she has been employed in Human Resources roles and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her HR Advisor role at HelpSeeker, Pam has been provided countless opportunities in all aspects of Human Resources through her involvement in projects and initiatives for the company.

Dehao (Dee) is a data analyst with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics and has also has completed the post-Baccalaureate diploma of data science and analytics at the University of Calgary. He has strong proficiency in data analytical programming such as Python, R and data visualization tools such as Tableau. He also has experience working in the Canadian financial industry. Dee supports the team with data wrangling, building and modifying models, and analyzing the hidden patterns behind data by creating visualizations and applying machine learning algorithms.

Elvis-Philip graduated from the University of Ottawa, in 2010, with a Bachelor of Computer Science and Software Engineering. He has over ten years of experience as a performance tester, in both back-end and front-end development, DevOps and full-stack. Elvis-Philip enjoys team sports, the outdoors, video games and cooking. In his free time, Elvis-Philip composes songs, which are available on all platforms.

Israel is a Data Scientist with over 7 years’ experience in building and productionising Machine Learning, and NLP systems. His experience spans across the financial and retail industries, sporting clubs and AI companies that use social data. He has applied his knowledge of Python, R, Tableau, and MLOps tools to build data-driven systems that controlled the spread of online misinformation and disinformation. His skills and expertise include data pre-processing & analytics, predictive analytics, model building, productionising & versioning. Israel holds a Masters degree in Data Science from the University of Manchester, UK. When he is not coding, he enjoys arranging jigsaw puzzles, playing chess and playstation video games.

Sarah is a social psychologist who holds a PhD from Wilfrid Laurier University. Throughout her career, Sarah has been passionate about using research and data to create positive change in the world, particularly in the areas of social justice and equity. She has worked on various research projects related to children and families, schools, legal outcomes, and past and present racial injustice. Sarah is a strong advocate for the use of new technologies to reform social safety nets and create more equitable outcomes for vulnerable populations. In her free time, Sarah enjoys escape rooms, concerts, snuggling with her cats, and rooting for the Blue Jays.

Arthur Bulka, as the Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services at HelpSeeker, plays an integral role in guiding the company’s financial and operational success. With a solid background in finance, accounting, and corporate services management, Arthur’s expertise is vital for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial
reporting, financial compliance, human resources, procurement, and legal management. His extensive experience in large multinationals, SMEs, and startups, both in Canada and abroad, has fostered a strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset that contributes significantly to HelpSeeker’s growth.
As a highly effective Finance and Business Administration professional, Arthur has a proven track record of success in managing all aspects of a company while exceeding goals and deadlines in fast-paced, dynamic environments. His skills in financial analysis, reporting, strategic planning, and accounting standards (ASPE, IFRS, US & CA GAAP, among others) have been honed through years of experience in various industries. Arthur’s demonstrated modeling expertise and ability to increase work process efficiency and profitability through detailed business and functional analysis make him a crucial member of the executive team.

Aluko Abimbola Jolaoso is a sales leader, IT consultant, and SaaS expert with over 7 years of experience in driving revenue growth and enhancing the reputation of organizations. With a focus on demand generation and sales operations, Aluko has consistently generated leads and achieved sales targets. As a skilled sales analyst, Aluko has a deep understanding of sales trends and is able to identify areas for improvement to maximize productivity.

Namratha initially worked as UI Developer for a Digital Marketing company and moved on to be a front-end developer in financial and HR based platforms. Later, pursued PG Diploma in Cegep de la Gaspésie et des Iles and joined HelpSeeker on February 16 2022 as a frontend developer.

Rida works as a UI Designer. She brings her experience from working for Immigration Canada as a User Experience Designer in an Agile team assisting in the digitization of Immigration Canada’s services. A Master of Information graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Communication Studies, Rida is passionate about accessible and inclusive design. She has an overall experience of over 2 years in different design and research roles. She’s super excited to be part of HelpSeeker’s mission of harnessing tech innovation for the greater social good.

Elizabeth joined Helpseeker in 2021, where they are establishing an in-house UX practice and framework and heading up the internal UX/UI initiative. At Helpseeker, their work involves defining, driving and executing UX strategy, UX research, UX/UI design and UX copy. They have a combined background in philosophy, publishing, optimization and conversions, UX and user-centric product management (UX strategy, content planning, UX copy, user advocacy and UXD). They are passionate about understanding problems and building solutions!

Kim launched her graphic design career in 2016, shortly after graduating from Medicine Hat College with her Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Visual Communications. She has remained a part of a global movement of designers who are leveraging technology and co-workspaces to grow and expand on their industry. Kim is passionate about her work with HelpSeeker and design work based in the social and human sector. She has brought her creative knowledge into many community projects, working to bring visual interest into information based knowledge.

Camilo is a political scientist with a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Calgary. He has more than 5 years of experience in social research and policy analysis in diverse topics such as immigration, development, gender, integration, among others. He is currently the co-chair of Immigrant Advisory Table (IAT) of the City of Calgary and a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Colombian – Canadian Professionals of Alberta (ACCPA).

Bhavana graduated from Vignan University, India. Initially she started her career as a Cloud Engineer and later continued to work as a DevOps Engineer on different platforms and technologies. Bhavana joined HelpSeeker Technologies in March 2022 as a DevOps Engineer and she is proud to be a part of the Innovation team. In her free time she enjoys traveling, going hiking and spending time with family & friends.

Vadim has been a software developer since the first day of graduation from Vilnius University, where he received a degree in applied mathematics. Throughout his life, he has worked in different organizations and companies, all kinds of different projects, and has always enjoyed his work. Another passion for Vadim is hiking and nature photography.

Poly Greenberg is from Newmarket, Ontario. Poly joined the HelpSeeker Technologies team as a backend developer in Apr 2021. She has 6 years of experience with different software platforms and databases with a focus on .Net. In her spare time, Poly enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Harman is a highly professional and passionate individual, working at HelpSeeker as part of the Innovation team. He has a proven track record of creating impact by delivering projects with excellence. He is well versed with various automation tools, CICD pipelines, programming languages, which he is utilizing at HelpSeeker, to create extraordinary digital solutions for the world’s social challenges.

Danielle is excited to utilize her background in customer service and data analysis as well as her fluency in French to help make a difference with HelpSeeker.

Prior to working at HelpSeeker Danielle spent 10 years in early childhood where she owned and operated a successful childcare business with a focus on developing minds and social skills. Danielle has completed her Medical Office Assistant/Unit Clerk Certificate and has also received a certificate in Accounting. She has learned through volunteering her time and skills that she is most fulfilled where she is able to be of use and help to others.

Ryan brings a wealth of experience from the retail/wholesale sector as he has over 15 years of experience in supply chain and corporate account sales. Ryan has his bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Lethbridge, with a Major in Commerce. Since 2010, Ryan has been a dedicated volunteer on various amateur sports boards in and around the City of Airdrie.

Archana joined HelpSeeker Technologies in April 2021. She works as a Data Engineer focussing on data wrangling, creating data flows and pipelines and setting up and building the HelpSeeker Database. A Data Science graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Archana is passionate about databases and has an overall experience of over 2 years in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence.

Nicole has been involved in various capacities at HelpSeeker where currently her role, Manager of Systems Mapping, oversees the daily operations of systems mapping activities including data entry and customer service for the HelpSeeker platform. Nicole has her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a diploma in ECCE from Mount Royal University with a special interest in social inequality, urban poverty and research. Since 2007, Nicole has been a vital member of her community at an operational level and an active member of the Golden Key International Honour Society since 2016.

Pragash joined the HelpSeeker team in March 2021. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Communications from Carleton University. Pragash began his career as a Software Developer at Nortel, and with his hard work and dedication slowly moved up to become a Software Engineering Manager at Ciena. Throughout his career, he has played multiple roles: Scrum Master, Senior Architect, Software Development Manager. He has vast experience in the Software Development Life Cycle and deep knowledge and understanding of different programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, Javascript. His admirable passion for Agile methodologies and Project Management has led him to pursue training to obtain certifications for both of the principles.

Jillian is a deep listener, a mindful designer, and a forward thinker. She holds a degree in Information Design from Mount Royal University and has experience working on consulting, information strategy, research, and creative innovation teams. Jillian is passionate about working towards systems change through designing experiences that are meaningful, educational, and empowering. She is intentionally curious, and recognizes that information design is not only about solutions, but also an act that requires awareness, intent, learning, and wonder.
